Suit or tuxedo rentals for kids at Generation Tux start at $139, covering the jacket and pants. Prices vary based on style and additional offerings, like a matching vest, accessories, ties, shirts, shoes, and socks.

Generation Tux uses a fit algorithm that determines the right fit for each person. For anyone under 16 years of age, we use a personalized experience to guarantee a perfect fit, however, we recommend you give us a call to be safe.

Measuring for kids suits or tuxedos involves considerations for their growing bodies and proportions. Grab a measuring tape, and stand next to the kid who needs fitting:

1. Measure the neck:
   1. Have the kid stand tall, with their chin up.
   2. Measure where a shirt collar would touch, just below the Adam’s apple.
2. Measure the chest:
   1. Have the kid hang their arms naturally.
   2. Stand tall and raise your arms so the tape measure can go under the armpits.
   3. Once the tape is in place, place arms back to the sides and relax.
   4. Do not square up your shoulders or puff up your chest.
3. Measure the stomach:
   1. Place your index finger on their belly button.
   2. Wrap the tape measure completely around their stomach, at the widest part.
   3. Run the tape below the finger that is touching the belly button.
   4. The tape should be straight and level across the stomach and lower back.
   5. Overlap the metal end of the tape where the tape comes together and tighten until it is snug.
4. Measure the waist:
   1. Tuck in the kid’s shirt and ensure pants are pulled up to where they naturally prefer to wear them. We recommend hip bone.
   2. Hold one end of the measuring tape and reach around the pant waistline, using the top of the pants as a guide.
   3. Get as close to the waistline without overlapping it.
   4. Pull the tape snugly so there is no slack.
5. Measure the seat:
   1. Empty kid’s pockets.
   2. Stand naturally and raise their arms slightly so they are out of the way.
   3. Kneeling, wrap the tape completely around the widest part of the seat.
   4. Ensure the tape is level and parallel to the floor.
   5. Tighten at the hip until snug, without any slack.
6. Measure the outseam:
   1. Take off the kid’s shoes and tuck in the shirt.
   2. Ensure pants are pulled up to where they naturally prefer to wear them. We recommend hip bone since slacks are generally worn higher than casual pants.
   3. Kneeling, hold one end of the tape at the top of the pant waistband and hold it there.
   4. Extend the tape straight down the side of the leg to where the foot meets the floor.
   5. Make sure the tape is straight and without slack.

We offer sizes 3T through men's 66L in select styles, like notch lapel and peak lapel. This means we can fit as young as 3-year-olds to adults big & tall.

For fit issues related to pant or jacket sleeve length, we offer complimentary tailoring services to reimburse you up to $20.00 for pant hem or jacket sleeve adjustments. Note that If you are having minor alterations to the jacket sleeve or pant hem, do not cut the fabric.

Yes! When you receive your outfit, please try it on within 48 hours. If any item doesn't fit properly, contact our Customer Experience Team as soon as possible to determine if a replacement order is necessary.
